Why do utility companies give you such a large span of time when they make appointments? I don’t get the luxury to say, “hey boss I’m going to be at work anywhere from 8am-12pm.”

I know these bastards are going to come to my house at 3:45 since my time frame was 12-4. But if I leave to run any errands I will get a call instantly.
