I found this picture early today and it made me laugh. Do you remember being happy for no reason at all? Sure you’re happy about things now, but it’s different you have reasons to be happy. Whether you’re in love, or have a nice job, or a good group of family and friends who have your back, you’ve got a reason to be happy and something to look forward to. But when we were young, we were just happy and there was no reason for it. We were pure, we didn’t care what the day brought us, we just knew it would be there for us whenever we woke up. It’s interesting to see how we change from a young child to an adult. Instead of automatically being happy, we have to search for things that make us happy. No wonder we have to smile at certain points instead of automatically smiling through out the whole day. It kind of makes me sad to think about it, but it’s not like I am the only one this happened to, we all go through it.  It’s life and we deal with the consequences. I think we should all just take some time out of our lives to smile for no good reason. It would do us all a world of good.

On being tall

Dear strangers,

Just because I am tall, does not mean I play basketball. Yes I am closer to the basket than you are, but that doesn’t mean I have any interest in playing that sport. I actually don’t like basketball at all. Why would I want to run back and forth like that? I cannot tell you how many people in the check out line at the grocery store, the mall and when I’m a bar, forget it, I hear it at least 5 times while I’m there.

Anyways, just because a person is of an above average height does not mean they are a basketball star. If you saw an overweight person would you ask them if they liked food? If you saw someone with a large head would you ask them if they were smart, figuring they were holding a large brain in there? I don’t think so. So leave the tall people alone. We are not all NBA superstars.

Going out and searching for something in life isn’t the thing that’s scary, what is scary is not knowing what to do when you find what you’ve been searching for.

Or perhaps what’s even more scarier than that is trying to figure out what you’ve been searching for all along in the first place.

This is so annoying to me. This is not what Facebook is for. A status update should be like, “Going to the bar with friends” or “Out in Vegas for the weekend” not this foolywang. C’mon now, if you want to have a debate, have a debate with someone or write a letter to the Editor or start a blog, but don’t fill up my Facebook page with this nonsense. This is just as bad as the people who basically post their entire day on their status updates.
